Just received this via Topaz newsletter. Looks pretty nifty, especially since I find some masking jobs a royal PITA. I'll be checking out the trial. Would like to see feedback from others who try it. The discount is pretty nifty, too.

For a moment, I thought it was only CS4 & I'm on CS3. But hang in there, Wendy....

"Because ReMask makes use of Photoshop-specific layer masks, the following editors are currently not supported:

* Photoshop Elements
* Paint Shop Pro
* Irfanview
* Aperture
* Lightroom

However, we are working on developing an extended masking tool that will be compatible with more editors. This is planned for release in late 2009."

Looks interesting. I'll be awaiting the PSP compatible version.

$30 off with a code that expires Oct 31 from the newsletter. If you trial it & want to buy, I'll share it via PM. I hesitate to post the code in open forum because I got busted for it once. In a Whole Foods forum LOL :P~~~~~~~

Fair enough?

Funny, I *ought* to be receiving this mail since I subscribe to their newsletter and have bought several of their products. I assume I'll see "my" promo letter soon :-) Anyway I'm all over this like white on rice, it's awesome... Thanx, Wendy, and thanx, Donna.

Bear, I signed up for the newsletter when I saw Detail (& ended up buying it) mentioned here. Just wanted to pay it forward. Check your email. And please...let us know if you think ReMask is a viable plugin. I won't be able to test it for a few days. I'm in the middle of a new hard disk install (joy) so it'll be a few days before I can test.

Just bought this and the code saved me 40 bucks. Now if I could just download the damn thing. My internet connection sucks and the zip file they showed me with the code was empty.

Yes, you and Wendy both forwarded the mail, thanks. Meanwhile I downloaded a trial license and I just ran ReMask as a selection tool for a very complex, forested skyline, and it is staggeringly good, astonishingly precise. It's definitely going in my toolbox :-)

When I purchased Detail on the weekend I had problems, it was fixed on Monday.

I had to use the "alt" server, the other one was overloaded. Purge your cache, go to the topaz site directly, find the product, and try the alt download.

Before I buy does it work with CS3?
And how do you do a tri-map?
09/26/2009 09:43:22 PM · #20
Someone else please click on the win text under remask in the download section and tell me if it gives you a connection error. The site might be flooded because I am on a different computer and I can access anything else, even this site.

The "win" link didn't work for me earlier this evening so I used the "alt" and it was fine.
