The whole point of taking photographs to a theme is to convey that theme. If you're not conveying it, you're doing something wrong. |
What if you did a fine job of conveying a theme? What if you did so with such finesse that it taxed the faculties of, say, a hundred voters and exceeded those of another hundred? What about the degree of effect a photo can have on individual voters? Does it matter how many of them there are? Does it not matter how profoundly a piece, photo or else, touches someone?
To consider a photo which accomplishes this a failure would strike me as undue and regrettable.

Sometimes getting a comment from one person who felt moved/touched by the photo, or who noticed something overlooked by everyone else, makes it all worth the 4.1372 .... |
