Anyone have a price on this? Or even know who has them? Looks promising to me but if it's as much as the 70-200 2.8L, then I would rather have it.

It's set to retail for $2500.

The article posts list as The lens will be priced at $2,499 (US). What that means the actually will be is hard to say. THe list for the 70-200 is List Price: $ 2,900.00 sell price of Our Price: $ 1,649.95 (at B&H) |

Hmm, that wouldn't be bad if it's in the 1300.00 range our price. I looked at the MTF and it looks good for such a wide/long zoom. |

If I had the money I'd want a faster lens like the 70-200mm f2.8 but that's just me. I guess it would good if you never want to change lenses? |

That's also quite a big thing to carry around - not something to call an "all-in-one walk-around lens", lol...

Ideally I would like to have 15- 60 mm,60- 240 mm and 200-800 mm all bright lenses :-) |
