Oh man, now I really feel old... I grew up with their music, and I always loved her voice. |

Blowing in the wind was my fav of theirs. Was always drawn to their PBS specials.

One of the best concerts I ever attended was Peter, Paul & Mary at the Shell in Honolulu, 1970 I think. We are getting old.
edit: of course we were in the back on the grass, not in the actual seats. But then again being on the grass gave it a better feel.

I think it would make a neat tribute challenge. |

Here is a song that captures the time of Mary. And this tribute comment attahed to it says it all:
Too long they collected dust these memories of mine, being young, being brave, falling in love, losing love, hating a war, a mother throwing a f**king medal across the dining room on a day with a sun so bright on a life gone dark. Every year a Memorial Day, every year flowers placed on graves. RIP Mary, RIP Todd.
Where have all the flowers gone?

Ok last one, I promise. I've been spending the evening listening to PP&M music and just had to post this last song. It is them in their prime during the heart of a changing country.

She was a force. The energy and heart she put into every performance, every song, every phrase speaks to her importance. PP&M were a perfect example of the best of what music can do. |

Oh such great memories with some of the songs you guys have listed. They truly were an icon in their (my) generation. I hope her rich voice is adding some angelic notes to some choir on the other side. |
