Put a very small P&S camera bag on your belt and use it to hold the foot of your monopod. With the strap around your neck just for safety, this will take a lot of load off your back as well as making your shots a lot more stable. It works great for panning shots because you are panning with your hips instead of your neck and arms.
By having the monopod, you can also use the self timer or remote with a wide lens and get some overhead shots of the crowd. During slow times, you can extend the monopod and support your arm while you are standing around.
Another plus for the monopod is that you have a pretty effective weapon if a fight breaks out. : )

You know your camera is too big when...
...you need a crane to put on your lens.

You should be able to swap heads from one to the other, I do it all the time. In certain cases depending on the model. You might need a little adaptor that screws on to the thread of the monopof to allow a head with different threads to screw on. alot of monopods come with that in place, It is usually springloaded and will push down out of the way if you need the smaller thread.

The past few days ive been shooting a lot and my back is very crampy and sore, and think a brace would help. And my workload is definitely not going to go down, fall sports are just kicking in.
Anyone else use one? I could use some suggestions for useful braces |
Had this problem for long time, finally ordered myself a tiny spy camera and glued it on my arse.
Now weight is no issue. I roam around clicking. It all works fine and dandy, but lately there is slight problem, sometime shutter triggers if i fart.
O well one cannot get everything i guess. :-D

This Mini Ballhead by Manfrotto works well and supports up to nearly 9 pounds. I use it sometimes on my monopod (which I bought it for), but more frequently on a Gorillapod. |

The new anus-cam is available at rock bottom prices at Arseda stores in UK, you have to approach from the rear and go up the back passage. Mr Brown will let you in and you will get a s**tload of goodies with it:)) The price is the only problem...it stinks!! |

On a more serious note, there actually exists (in prototype, at least) a video camera/transmitter/battery set which fits in a clear capsule small enough to swallow, allowing a complete "end-to-end" photograpic examination of the digestive tract ... |

A couple of minutes, as I read the thread. I was feeling bored and this struck a chord with my warped sense of humour. It could have been better, in fact, its a bummer having to use toilet humour and then become the butt of DPC comments. |

Yep, watched a programme about it. Technology is getting better all the time, we really do live in a lucky time. Many of us could have been pushing up daisies if it wasn't for modern technology. |
