I'd have it on eBay already, but I have a gig the first weekend in October that I'd prefer not to shoot with the backup camera. Actually, I'd really prefer to have the 7D by then - but I doubt that'll happen. Beachcamera.com is listing the 7D as shipping "On or around Oct. 1."

As soon as I sold everything (literally that day), I got several calls for photo sessions. Just finished a maternity shoot last night. It figures. :-/ |

But at least you're working with the 40D - my backup is a 400D. Good little camera, but the reduced features drive me batty - especially the lack of ISO 1/3 stops.

After my disappointment with the 50D's noise I am waiting for someone to test and compare the 7D before I blow my money again. Right now I think Canon are the nasters of hype over reality.
Having said that, I really love my 5D MkII, but there I waited until I knew exactly what the camera had to offer. |
