		I was out playing with my camera tonight and was able to get these two shots of the moon.  I was leaning on the tailgate of my truck (no tripod) and took these pictures with my cameras 6x optical zoom.  I used f2.8 and a very fast shutter speed.  Please let me know what you guys thnink of these photos.

		Great with no tripod, the moon is a fun subject. I wonder why you were getting some redness in the moon?

 The moon is actually pretty bright on a clear night - should be able to get shutter speeds upto around 1/125 or even 1/250 without pushing the ISO too high ...

		The red effect could be from Earth shine, sunlight reflecting off the Earth onto the surface of the moon.
