Stitched unprocessed panorama. How would you process it so it looks nice? When I do it, it only looks OK, I want more of a WOW effect :)

Had to have a shot at it, even though I'm not much of a photoshopper.
(The sky still needs to be evened out, but I'm out of time.) |

Seemed like the obvious direction to go with a photo like that. |

just colorefx tonal contrast:
Just viveza selective color sat/bright/contrast
just silverfx conversion w/orange filter, structure, contrast, then a pass with colorefx tonal contrast
None are final sorts of edits, and these are just ideas of directions that you could take. |

Topaz Detail.
1 pass micro detail bump saturation, selected sky, 1 pass smooth skin. Took longer to analyze the image. Love this program!!

Back from a couple months away on a sea voyage, and this is the first image I play with (lucky you!) :)
I actually like the image very much without playing around in PS at all, but since that's not really in the spirit of the original post. . .
I amped up the saturation and contrast a bit using my OnOne Phototools and then used LucisArt (at a mere 15% opacity in exposure adjustment on it's own layer) to bring back some of the detail in the trees. (Maybe a bit too much, though.) |

Nobody else did a black and white, so I figured I would.
And, a duotone.

no offense to all who tried to post-process, but i think the original has a more natural look to it, especially the skies. Most post-processed ones seem to have a very fake-ish sky (like those of property ads).
only thing i'd probably want removed from the original is the lens flare (obvious on the faraway trees) towards the right portion of the pic. |

I agree with Crayon. (that, in itself, frightens me :D )Too often the skies remind me of a very old hand-tinted postcard; pretty enough but definitely not natural-looking.
I recognise that scene; Vermillion Lakes with Mt. Rundle at the far end. A beautiful spot, no? :) |

Frankly I liked the original photo. But the original question from the poster wasn't should I leave this photo as is, or what looks better Before or After post processing, but how they would post process it to make it pop more. We all gave post processing perspectives. Some ... not much, some ... over the top. |
