Hey Yo, I'll try to post a few here and there with a Casio Exilim EX-V8SR and 2mp iPhone if that's cool.

Your Olympus and Fuji are point and shoot, even the SX10 can be classified as such, though my similar S5 IS is sitting this one out. Use what you feel suits, it is just a side challenge after all.

For myself, this SC is about showing what I can do with a cheap camera, and I have already proven myself with the Powershot S5, so it's sitting out. Use whatever you feel suits, folks. If you normally use a 5D MkII, and you consider a Rebel on full auto to be a P&S, then have at it.

The shots must be taken during September or people submit older photos on those side challenges?

Generally, they are new shots, but in a side challenge there are usually no hard rules. My feeling is that this SC is more for learning and showing what can be done with lesser gear. I already have a couple of shots on my pawn shop special A530 that I will use.

It's a good opportunity to learn how to make it do everything it can do without worrying about votes.

I shot this week's challenge entries with my S5 IS, since the SLR is broken. One thing I did to squeeze the most out of it was low ISO, a tripod and use of the self timer to reduce shake.

Oh, and I plan on post-processing the heck out of my shots, just like I do from the other cameras.

Yo_Spiff, count me in buddy. I can use my normal S5 IS or perhaps I'll shoot with my older Canon A75...depending on if the known issue with the sensor wire holds ups. I definitely need to send it back to Canon for the free fix or free camera replacement. Procrastination is an evil thing. LOL.

Either way, count me in!

I'm in:o) The Sony DSC-S650 has been sitting in a desk drawer for the last couple years. It would be fun to break it out again and see what I can do with it... if anything can be said for it's capabilities.. it is certainly portable:o) I might throw in a couple iphone images too.. any editing restrictions?

None at all. Just have fun and see what you can squeeze out of that P&S.

Yes, Pedrobop...your SX100 IS and my S5 IS are VERY similar in design and specs. Great cameras!

Put me on standby, Steve. I'm having trouble with the Olympus C-7000, and entering DP1 shots kind of misses the point. I'll try to get a few in later this month, perhaps.

I will come around and comment though...

I'm game if spots are still open. I'll shoot with my Blackberry Storm.
