Anyone familiar with this printer? It's flashing the orange light 5 times, which means a print-head problem. The manual says to try removing and reinstalling the printhead. I have no problem looking up how to do this (and actually doing it!) but I was wondering if anyone's encountered this type of problem before?

I have the i9900 printer but have never had that error, or any for that matter. I've had it for years but I would not say I put a heavy load on it. A bit back there was a discussion on DPC about this printer having an issue with a waste ink tank filling up. Seems that when that happens the printer is done for as it requires sending back to the factory for repair. I hope that is not your issue now. Let me know what you find out.

thanks -- that's what I'm afraid of; having to send it back to the factory. I can't see that it would be cost effective.
