Got a lens stuck last night and this morning I discovered that freeing it broke one of the lens contacts in the camera body. The contacts appear to be a module with a tiny screw on either side holding it in. I suspect it may be a common replacement item. Anyone have any experience replacing one of these or know how Canon handles such a repair?

This weeks challenge entries will be brought to you by the Powershot S5 IS.

I guess I'm the only one to ever do a stunt like this. I called Canon and with shipping & tax, the part is about $21 U.S.

Got lucky on that.
