		| | Well until yet I am pretty satisfied with this lens but looking forward to replace it with a better one. I am considering Tamron 17-50 2.8 & Tamron 28-75 2.8
Considering my 400D Tamron 17-50 2.8 suits better to me. Can anybody will share is this lens are significantly better than my kit lens Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS? How you compare this with Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM.

		| | well I make it simple. Share your experience with following lenses & if possible comparison:
 1.Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM.
2.Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) for Canon
 3.Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS

		| | I've never used the Canon kit lenses, but the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 is a great lens. Very sharp stopped down once or twice and very usable wide open. I would've bought one myself but I ended up getting a Nikkor 17-55 f/2.8 for dirt cheap so I passed on the Tamron. |

		| | the tamron will blow the kit lenses out of the water! one downside is you will get addicted to fast lenses if you start using them. |

		| | Well the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS is good enough for me but after seeing the results on Canon EF 50mm/f1.8 II I am considering Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) for Canon.
Does the Tamron without IS term matters?

		| | Left you a PM.
I rarely used the f2.8. Otherwise it is a great lens for the money. I have since found an addiction to L lenses and would not go back to third party. Although I might consider it for this one. I regrettably sold it! Should have kept it in my bag for fun.
