Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D

Have to admit I'm a little sad today (no not cause of the brown - that made me smile!)

I've known for the last couple of months that my main clients are moving at the end of August. So that means goodbye to one of my favourite horses, Brio, not to mention her companion Traveller, and all the other beasties there that I have shot for challenges - the ponies and donkeys. The perfect job because it's located only 10 min drive away from me, I can do it in my sleep, and it supplies me with most of my grocery and gas money. Suppose I'll miss the owners, too! :-)

Now, the new owners are planning to get horses and cows, and from the sounds of it they'll be hiring me. The thing is, I don't know when they're planning on getting beasties for...whether it'll be this fall or will they wait til next spring. I don't want to be contacting and pestering them esp right now of course as everyone's in transition.

I do have other clients, of course, but none as long-term as this crew. *sigh*...

Thanks, just had to get that off my chest.

Magnumphotography finished in the top 20 in Oil, his first challenge ever, so am very proud that he did so well! He seems pretty stoked about it too! :-)

Dunno what's going on here.......shot this two hours before the challenge went off, damn near didn't enter it at all, was expecting to see a 4.XXXX this morning, and it's been right here all day.

Susan, sorry to hear about the clients leaving. I'm sure you guys will stay in touch, though, and that you'll bond just as well with the new clients once they get settled in.

Jeb, sorry to hear about your 6+ on an expected 4+ entry. I really hate when that happens.

Jelena, sorry we didn't get a chance to hook up, but delighted to hear of your adventures just the same. :-)

And Raish, the house painting looks to be going well! Very nifty concept and nicely executed, it appears.

I'm heading home (where hopefully the high won't be in the 30s C today) shortly. Has been a nice trip but I'm ready to get back the the cats and such. I've been neglecting my own side challenge, and haven't even entered a challenge at all since the FS.

I might be MIA for a bit. I finally found a new rental! YAY! So I'll start moving this weekend, I don't know how long it will take to get internet service turned on there. I'm not shutting it off here until the last minute, but I'm still going to be really busy! 4 bedroom, 2 bath, lots of room and all the rooms are huge!

Comcast is coming to the new place sunday morning to turn on internet & cable. So I won't actually be without internet except for maybe saturday.

On a sad note. I finally had my Buster put to sleep today. I finally gave in to my conscience that it was the right thing (even though it was the hardest thing) for me to do.
