You may find this of interest.
"Oh, Glen Beck, it has to be more conservative BS"
Maybe not.

If I remember correctly, Mr. (and I use that word loosely) Beck had his facts wrong and was in fact looking at a site meant for the dealers rather than the purchasers. I'll see if I can find the debunking video. Take the Fox News guys with a massive rock of salt. These are the guys who managed to find something wrong with the peaceful diplomatic negotiation of two innocent Americans' freedom from captivity in a NK hard labor camp.

Just more evidence that Glen Beck is an idiot and that there people stupid enough to believe his crap.

OMG...he forgot to take his meds again.

That's just too funny. He really thinks that after you go to the website, the government has taken all your files, and will continue to track you.

I have to go watch my DVR'd copies of the last few days of the Daily Show...I'm sure this will be on there!

As a matter of fact, it was, nshapiro. That's where I saw it, though I went for a more legitimate source to refute it :P

Jon Stewart is fast becoming the most intelligent, trustable pundit out there. And that scares the hell outta me.

I like Glenn Beck, but sometimes he gets his tin foil hat wrapped too tightly.

On a completely different note, while on the same subject, a friend of mine participated in the cash for clunkers program recently. He traded in an old chevy dump truck that got 7mpg for a Ford F350 huge diesel truck that gets 14 mpg. Wow, he was stoked! Increased his mileage by 100 percent!!!!! But one little detail he chose to ignore. The dump truck was a POS that got used about 100 miles a year. The new F350 will probably be driven over 12,000 miles a year!
Wow, big savings in carbon released into the atmosphere. LOL I was kinda figuring that there would be a minimum mileage for the new car of at least 20 to 25 mpg. Guess I was wrong.

As far as tin foil hats and the gumment, they've been able to track your computer transactions for years. And they already consider anything you own to be theirs for the taking.

I took advantage of the Cash for Clunkers deal. Chrysler was matching the government's money for a couple weeks. So I got the $3500 from the govt. and Chrysler put up another $3500. I knew I'd never again have a chance to get $7000 for my 2001 2-wheel drive Ford Explorer up here in PA.

And I figured that with all my tax money about to go toward social programs for people who don't/can't/won't work I was gonna take advantage of the ONE government program that I was actually eligible for.
