*clearing throat* ahem...note that Jeb has ribboned ummm...err...about 4 times since joining Team Suck? He ain't going anywhere, nor are you or Deb! He's just jealous that he's being bested by wimmen is my guess! ;-)

btw...my current best score is in Free Study...I guess that's better, coming in around 5.2+ in FS than floundering in 3.8 in Oil and 5.0 in CircleIII...innit?

Three in two and a half years.....not four in six months......8>)

And Deb is our muse!

Actually, Wendy, it isn't about actually sucking, it's about how all too many of us create images that the mainstream doesn't necessarily appreciate or understand.

That's good!.......8>)

Actually, when I created my username entry, I almost came gushing over here, but felt funny doing it--so I'll do it now.

I'm really glad to be on team suck because I'm learning a lot here. I've been into photography for about 12 years, and my photos have always been mainstream type photos. DPC and team suck in particular have gotten me to look deeper at things I've never been interested in before. I had a blast with my gas station entry: , and that started it all.

I was so excited about my username entry: that I wanted to shout "thanks team suck", but I'm still making my way here, and I was afraid that maybe it wasn't strange enough. But for me, it was incredibly different. This was also a photo I took recently: Last year it would have gone into the trash, now I find it quirky and fun. I also found it interesting that there was overlap in what I gave my new award to and what posthumous awarded. (Either his taste is getting more mainstream, or I'm seeing things I've never seen before.)

So it's completely possible that I don't suck enough--but I'm trying!

I *really* like this!

It reminds me of a crescent moon around the window.

Thank you very much. I can't blame people for some of the comments they're leaving as I loaded the photos posted them and then I had to run out for the rest of the night. Now that I'm

back I would like to clear up any confusion. Even though we wish she was ours, the Durnford family factory is permanently closed. Aliah is however the daughter of my best friend Ian and

his beautiful wife Kara Sinclair. She was born on Aug 05 2009 @ 1:35am weighing in at 5lbs 6.8ozs and was full term. She is just the most beautiful bundle and thankfully Uncle Max is a

photographer and LOVES babies. I see many flash bulbs in her future. I will have more shots of her soon I hope and of course the proud parents.

See, you have the best of all worlds! a wonderful model, someone to love and cuddle, and then to give her back to the parents when it's diaper time!

congrats!

T (midwife) just called. The autopsy results came in (she hasn't seen them, but the midwife that has called her).

No major abnormalities - I think this is good, I guess. I don't know. It might be easier to process if there had been something obvious wrong.

BUT.

And it's a major BUT.

Jessie was not a baby girl. 'She' is baby Jesse. Baby boy parts inside.
I've mourned my daughter for over 2 weeks only to find out that she never was my daughter, but my son.

T has contacted the funeral home already - they're having all the official paperwork changed to reflect that Jesse was a boy. Some had said gender unknown, some had said girl.

They're going to find out if the engraving on the urn can br buffed out and redone to reflect the 'proper' spelling.

Ok it's time for the every once in a while check in..
After my experience with humming birds at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, I decided to take my feeders seriously. I dumped the store bought stuff and made my own nectar. Same day one showed up, now a week later at least 4 regulars, could be more. They are getting used to me so I should be able to do some limited photography soon.
My square entry is in the 4's, but is .4 over my predicted 4.3 just goes to show the voters can surprise you, hunh.........;p

edit to add photo from Best Friends
