There was a link a while back and I cannot find it (yeah I tried google but it's full of ^% selling sites)...
Looking for basically a ziplok bag to stuff an SLR in. I recall seeing a link for cheap bags that are better then ziploks but not crazy like housings or the underwater heavy plastic bags.... Think waterfall proof not underwater.... and think cheap not a few hundred $..... |

I saw some at my local shop at $6 for a 2-pack yesterday. Just something to keep on hand for if you get caught in the rain. They had some slightly more expensive and reusable ones as well. I'll post a link if I can find the name.
Found it on their site. Is this what you were looking for?:

I can't remember the name of them either, but used them a couple weekends ago for a total downpour and they worked wonderfully. Was all ready to purchase an $80 one at the camera shop, but the salesperson informed me no one liked them because you had to look thru plastic. The 2 for $7 (guess my store is more expensive) sleeve has the ability to free up the viewer and they are loose enough that you can still easily adjust the lens. I used my lens hood for a bit of extra protection as the string on the end gets a bit loose. Over the weekend I probably ended up shooting for a solid 3 hours with the bag on and it never ripped. Was very happy with it. |

I'll be a third for the rainsleeve - I use those in the rain and they work great.
Bonus is they take up next to zero volume so they fit in your bag and forget about them until the rain starts. I wouldn't use them under a waterfall though. |

They work great and I've used them near a waterfall but certainly not under. The spray from Takakkaw falls will get you pretty wet even half a kilometer away. And of course I thought I should be no more than 25 meters away... :) |

Yeah thx guys those are what I was thinking of..... I did see the aquapac but the front is too small for the lens I will be using. This is for the sprey from the falls (Niagara in this case)... not under the falls themselves....
* What does the front look like?? I assume you need a filter on the front or does it have a clear plastic thingi... cannot see from the pictures. |

The front is open to the elements, there's a drawstrings to cinch around the lens hood and open air to the front of the lens. |

I use the RainSleeve . . .
Your local Ritz Camera store should have them for (USD) $5.95 for a two-pack. Then go and buy a poncho to weather-proof the photographer. ;-)
One more tip, always use a lens hood to help keep water droplets from finding your front glass element.
