I'm kind of new here, and this post is interesting. I was doing portfolio, ad, press and API photos when some of the people on this site was still on the Gerber food of choice. Does that mean anything? No, nothing at all in the real world. Even though I piss and moan some about lousy voting habits of some people, all of this means nothing in the real world. It's a fun site where you can compete, sell photos, meet new photographers and in general, have a good time. So, as far as my "high score" or my "average", in the real world, nobody cares, it's all a matter of perspective. Were here to have fun, right?

When I first started here, I was so into what everyone else thought.... now, I am just working on bettering myself as a photographer and as an artist. I have learned that you can't make everyone happy, and some people may like what you are serving and you may leave others with a bad taste in their mouth. I just try my best and if it scores high, then HOT DOG!!! If not, oh well, I look and see what others are doing and get ideas on how to do better. I am doing well in the PWL challenge, way better than I had even thought... even if I come in last though, I will be happy - This is the best piece I have ever done. And I know that what I got out of this is more than anyone can offer!

My first Challenge was the Chinese Zodiac. It's early but so far I think my submission is probably 1 point higher than what I would have given. Justice will prevail I think, I expect that it will finish near the bottom ten percent. If it finishes near 4.5 I'll be happy and relieved that my first challenge entry is over.
I think I give out a higher average than most because in each challenge I have a habit of awarding at least one 10 and one 9 to what I feel were the best photographs in the challenge.
