Hello All,
I'm looking to get the girl a decent Point and Shoot. Our old 6.1 MP HP P&S has pretty much bit the dust and doesn't like to focus on ANYTHING anymore. She goes out with friends and family a lot and expressed wanting to get a new one, when she goes out without having to lug around my D90. What options are available for a decent price? Are there any specials or deals going on anyone knows about?
I'd love to have one by Next TUESDAY if possible, although that is very unlikely.
I do know I don't want anything that takes Double A's or that doesn't have a rechargable Lith Ion battery...would prefer not to have to eat through abtteries all the time. =)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What's a decent price? Have you looked at dpReview?

Basically I'm trying to stay under $150, which doesn't seem to bad looking at BestBuy.com
We are going on a vacation next week, and I will have my Camera, and would like to have one for her by then, so I'm unsure if I can get anything ordered from online and to my house by Tuesday...we leave Wed morning.

and...I will check DPReview now

thx

Canon has some A series cameras in that price range that are pretty good. I think they all take AA's however. I consider that a plus on a camera in this class.

I also highly approve of being able to use standard batteries. If this is for a kid, you might look into some of the newer shock- and water-resistant cameras, though they might be a bit above your budget.
