I've been using weather.com for some time and with flash blocker, pop up blocker and add blocker it is actually ok. I could never get used to accuweather.com
Recently someone pointed me towards //www.intellicast.com which has amazing maps. They look like google maps with various info overlayed on top. This sold me right away.
So, what website do you use? Why do you like it? |

NOAA
Why do I use it?
It's the only thing with specific enough and reliable weather for backcountry travel, which I enjoy doing frequently. Forecast is based on map and not by zipcode like weather.com, so I can actually get a real forecast for where I'm going. |

The WunderMap feature is nice. You will find it on the left column about halfway down.

I tend to look out the window. So far 100% accurate...
And here in Missouri about the best guess you'll get. The forecast can change by the hour.

I was going to say that I go out on my front or back porch. There are times I can tell what the day will bring, but I can't go beyond a few hours. :P |

Here in Phoenix, I know 360 days it will be sunny. And when it rains, it's a nice surprise... not much to know, other than knowing if it's winter time, or summer time... that is covered by the calendars :P |

Usually have Local Dopler on from U.S. Weather Bureau website. Thats enough to give about 1/2 hour warning most of the time.
2" hail today, was able to warn my wife 1/2 hour before it hit. She was able parked cars under trees, they sustained little damage. My old suburban had damage and broken front windshield being at work.
Just looking up all the time

I used to rely on weather reports on TV, But because they are not always accurate. I now just play it by ear and look up at the sky. The only time I rely on the TV is for Weather Warnings such as Tornados or Thunderstorms. Now that I live in NZ That isn't even so much of a worry because Tornados are very rare here and Thunderstorms are just about as rare. We have earthquakes which can not be predicted so really nothing to worry about It is either going to rain or not and the temp will always be very close to what it was the day before so the weatherman has become even more useless then I once thought. |

Yes, go right to the source. NOAA is where all the other sites get their info. I use this page for satellite imagery. I use this page for radar (note it's set to my area, but you get the drift). Finally, I use this page for my local forecast. |

I've actually messed around and checked to see how different the forecast is based on what is selected... in the mountains that I regular, 1/8 mile makes an appreciable difference in the supplied forecast, just like it does in actuality when you're up there. I haven't found that in anything else. Watching the actual doppler and satellite is also a definite necessity too before I set out on a climb. You don't leave weather as an unknown if you often solo like I do. |

I gotta rock outside hanging on a string. if it's wet, it's raining; if it's dry it's not raining and and if you can see a shadow the sun might be out; if you can't see it it's probably foggy; if it's swinging back and fourth, it's windy; if it's gone, most likely it's a tornado or hurricane.
I also use weather underground, accuweather, NOAA. and intellecast. |

I live in Holland and use this amazing privately owned website that is run by an enthousiastic weather man living in the town of Grave which is where i live too. Most complete and detailed weather site i ever saw and so many extra features and interesting things such as weather slogans and a live webcam and more. Even a course in weather station stuff.
