This morning I went for a walk down by the beach. I was photographing some Magpies when I seen a guy walking along the rocks and thought he had a dog following him. As they got closer I realized that what I thought was a dog was actually a seal. I spent a good while stalking this little fellow as he searched for the right place on the rocks to kick back and catch some rays. I am really starting to enjoy living in New Zealand. Photo ops are in abundance here compared to my old home in Watertown Wisconsin.

From the subject line, I was afraid for a moment this thread was going in a whole different direction. ;)

A baby seal walks into a bar. The bartender asks" What do you want?" The baby seal says "Anything but a Canadian Club on the rocks"

Seals often haul themselves out for a rest on this float just off my dad's backyard, in southern Puget Sound.
