I use a mouth guard for my migraines. I was grinding/clenching my teeth, because of my stress at work :(! I personally use this mouth guard called the "StressGard" from TotalGard. This device is amazing haha. I can finally say my head is back on track. I tried the medicine route .. but I was getting dizzy and what not .. hence I looked for a different solution. Did anyone have blurred vision with their migraines?

didnt read thru the whole page, but this works well for me

take yoru normal pills, then sticking hot wash cloth rung out then ice cold one, wrap around head. I usually have hot on top then wrap the sold one around my lower neck and upwards, then change places every 5 mins.

Medically, they say that it confuses the brain waves so they have to settle, works for me every time

Never had them until just the last year or so, in my mid-fifties. I know they're way more common in women than men, but that doesn't seem to matter. All start at work. I suspect perfume and/or cologne, particularly a nice lady salesperson that calls on us from time to time. Last time it set me off right away.

A couple of times when the aura started I got up from my desk and took a semi-brisk walk around the back warehouses and property lines. That seemed to stop it pretty well. Chiro thinks that may release some endorphins that counteract the migraine. LAST time, though, it didn't do squat, and I ended up having to knock off and go home. And that headache lasted for the better part of a week.

It does seem like a good stiff snort of vodka goes a long way toward easing the pain. OTC stuff doesn't do much at all.

Sorry, can't help with homegrown remedies, I get them so bad I always have to go to the ER and they have on my record a cocktail that has enough shit in it to kill a horse.

I put up a similar post a little bit ago. Though i didn't get as many replies. If the 30+ replies don't work, this might help.
