| This one may work for me, i haven't entered i a couple months, but i am shooting a young lady's sr portrait thursday and she is over 16 so it just might work out for me |

I think you are asking for a bit of backlash. The challenge description clearly implies people even though it does not specfically state it. I am sure more than a few will not vote highly on pet portraits in this challenge. |

I concur... and even without the implied "people", there is the stated age "requirement" and then you get into the whole dog years vs. human years thing. Slightly over 2 is 16 dog years (DNMC!) or you may have a truly 16 year old dog (how do you prove it? DNMC!)...
etc...
Go for a person. Look around and you may see one or two. Unless you're up in antelope canyon for the geology challenge. |

My daughters and I had the same reaction to this challenge:
First we were shocked...
Then saddened...
Then ADD set in - ooh, something shiny!

| I went back and looked at the last four Portrait challenges (excluding Portrait of the Elderly). How many of the top 10 had shots of kids only? 11 of 40. :) Who wrote the description of this challenge anyway? |

haha...nah..I have to take credit for this one. Darn kids always stealing the show!!!
By the way, had three shoots with models set up this week 1 I had to cancel due to an emergency...the 2nd canceled on me due to emergency. And the 3rd one didn't look anything like any of the photos on her page and not all the shots are that great. I'm searching for a good one. I can't ever shoot good shots for the challenges! |
