I am asking you to tell me about how you see yourself creatively, about what tools you use to express yourself, what your impressions are about the different modes of expression available, whether it be a camera, a pen, an instrument, a pattern or a menu. I would also appreciate you adding a link to an example of your work. If it is a menu for an exotic meal, why not. If it is music or lyrics or photos or films or a short story, it is all good!

Looking forward to your imputâ€Â¦

Rehabilitation through art they say. I think artists have so much energy that they must express it in many ways.

I've got a pretty cut and dried technical job, so photography is my expression. I like to do a lot of ridiculous humorous shots. Many people here low vote them, and I have received comments suggesting they have no artistic merit or intent behind them. Others have suggested to me that these are a form of self expression, which certainly seems like an artistic intent to me. What I do know is these ridiculous entries tend to be my most creative and least appreciated. Can I be a misunderstood artist?

Don't they say all great artists are misunderstood in their own time?

(of course I'm sure there are plenty of mediocre misunderstood artists too :) )

Well, the standard defense to "this sucks" is that of being a misunderstood artiste. I am wading into deep water by posting in a discussion started by Benjikan.
