I took the family up to a high mountain lake to beat the heat today. We hiked for a while with a backpack packed with lunch and stopped at a lakeside cove to eat. We sat on a fallen tree watching the water and the mountain behind it, enjoying the scene. I set down my camera to eat, took a bite of my turkey/bacon/provalone sandwich, and at that moment a HUGE bald eagle swoops down and pulls a trout out of the lake right in front of me. And there my camera sat... |

At least you got to enjoy the moment. It sounds like a fine day of doing to me.
Good thing you were not eating a tuna sandwich, you could have lost a hand. : )
