Anyone know a rough estimate to fix a bent/broken compact flash pin on Canon 300D?
My stepson's friends need an entry level DSLR for a photog class and is interested in my rebel, the only thing is the broken pin needs fixed.

My niece straightened a bent CF pin in her Canon with a pair of small pointy tweezers, and it took about 2 minutes. It's fine now.

you can try to use one of the mechanical pencils as well to straighten the pins, I use them a lot for that purpose as the pins slide in (once you take the tiny lead out) to the end of the pencil and just bend to pins back VERY VERY SLOWLY. that usually does the trick, havent had one break yet *touch wood* ;) other than that you would prob have to phone a repair shop or canon for an estimate.

| I did it at my local camera shop for about $45 I think. |
