Like it!, Brave, simple, edgy and damn efficient. Goes to show how our pride gets in the way of opportunities such as this. |

what I can't understand is how they record a crappy old film camera with a motor wine. Over a D3's shutter!
And add a strobe effect into the video, when the guy is obviously not using any!

haha, the camera noise IS funny.
Seems cool, but would he be nearly as successful without the video camera crew? If you walked by a person taking portraits like that, wouldn't you be worried a bit about someone trying to pull off some identity theft? and if you aren't, shouldn't you?
I think is a neat idea, but, wow, not one I'm too comfortable with... |

Here we have a guy in action, speaking about natural light shooting, portraiture, equipment, how to shoot strangers, getting in close, 8 seconds, composition, direction, philosophy...etc. everything discussed/questioned here, yet it was ignored.
Educationally speaking that video was more potent than any numbers of threads combined, dealing with the same topics. So, why do you guys think this thread died quickly...? |
Probably because most viewers think to themselves, "man, I'd never ever do that in a million years". SP takes a special breed. |

Not really sure why but once again, I thought it was great. I struck me like a good quote does. Its simple and makes sense. Makes ya think, "Why didn't I think of that?" Thanks for posting it Ralph. |

few times i've tried it .. you have to get in the 'zone'
YOU are the person withthe camera
you are the person in control
snap snap thank you ..
& move on ..
(it also helps to have a backup body if people hassle you ...)
as far as the why the thread died /
Its DPC .. fluff matters ;)
