| If I remove some hardware from my profile, will it also remove it from the photo details? I want to remove a couple cameras and lenses but don't want to lose that history. |

No. I have removed hardware and lenses from my profile and that information still remains on the photos I took with it.
Edit: As a quick check, I looked at the Skeletons picture on my profile page and it still retains the camera as a 20D which I have removed from my profile. I also checked a non challenge portfolio image as well - retained the info.

| Yup, I've temporarily added equipment that I borrowed, specifically so I could add it to photo details. I then just deleted it again from my profile. Details still remain on photos. |
