Congrats! The Topaz works well with the grain. I'd have scored it high also.

Thanks!

I guess the bottom line on any of the PP tools is that they all have their strong & weak points, and any or all of them can be used to extreme.

This one just worked out really well for this challenge.

Topaz and Grain go together like Ham 'n Eggs; it's a marriage made in heaven. Folks thought I "overgrained" this one, but facripesake it was a "grain" challenge, I thought I'd be OK taking it to extremes...

Only 1 in 5 said that it was too much grain - the other 4 seemed to like it. :-) Personally, I thought the grain was ok but something about the processing made this almost seem more like a sketch or painting rather than a photo. JMO FWIW. :-P

I got a lot of feedback not-in-comments, though. And that was mostly lukewarm-to-negative on the subject of "excessive grain".

I'm pretty surprised that image scored above 5. Maybe it was voted that high due to the challenge description, but I agree it looks more like a sketch then a photo, and the grain seems a bit over the top. I would have figured the voters would have really hammered it for the combo.
