I actually got into photography more as a way to capture a subject that I end up drawing. While I appreciate photography as its own art, I tend more towards taking pictures of subjects that will evoke the artist in me.
Some examples of my work, from photographs of pets (mostly)... all I have scanned in right now. A lot of my artwork is old cars (so I was salivating over some of your photography in the "old cars" challenge, which I plan on asking some permission to draw.
My medium is mostly marker, pencil, colored pencil, and for my pet portraits, mostly oil pastel.
I'd love to hear what you think.. also, if you are interested in turning any of your photos into (not filtered) real art, let me know! :)
Photos of flowers, cars, wine, and industrial stuff (fences, anything metallic) tend to bring out the artist...
