Hi everyone,
My friend is looking for a decent zoom lens, something along the lines of 70-200. No wide angle.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm not a Pentax man so I have no clue what's good. |

It's a bit longer, but I have really enjoyed this one:
Tamron 70-300 |

I bought this one for my wife:
75-300 Pentax
When I couldn't find her an 80-320. This thing is incredibly sharp. I am actually thinking of getting one to replace MY 80-320.

There is a pretty good Lens Review Database at Pentax Forums he might find useful.
Tim
PS: The DA50-200 Kit Twin is not a bad lens for the $

There's the Sigma 70-200 f2.8, Tamron 70-200 f2.8, Pentax 60-250mm f/4 for a higher budget.
What kind of subjects does the friend shoot or plan to shoot? |

He's an amateur photographer and he's not sure what he wants which makes it hard to advise :s

Pixel-peeper is a good place to check out photos from individually lenses to see what they can do. Click on the sides for other brands. Also Pentax Gallery is a good place to look also.
