Just got a pbase account & set up some galleries. I would love to get some feed back so hit me back with a post & let me know what you think!

Pbase Galleries

Nice Pics! Classy gallery format, like the dark background.
I have been thinking about a web site myself. How did you select Pbase vs. other options? I am new at this, but can you sell your work thru a site like Pbase?
Thanks,
Drake

Thanks Drake. A lot of folks here have pbase & I was searching for photo sites & I really like pbase & all the customization you can do with it. I dont think you can sell your prints from it directly as I believe it is kinda of like database of photos but as you are a member of dpc you can seel prints at dpc prints. I think you can add a link to your pbase account to sell from there.

All you have to do is put shots in your portfolio & then upload a larger image to be considered for prints sales. Check it out, it's really cool!

Thanks for the information.

I do have prints for sale in DPC, but not sure that it draws many folks that are looking to buy prints vs. posting for comments and competition. Not many photographers tend to buy photos from other photographers.... maybe it's just me...but it just wouldn't seem right to hang someone elses work on my living room walls (actually there is not much room left on my walls anyway...ha! ha!)

Have you thought about sending folks a link to prints? Maybe via email? Can't think of anything else right now but will certainly hit you up if I come up with anything!

BTW, your shots are really nice. I like the silhoette lighthouse one a lot!

Earthly creatures is a great animal collection. Colors are very vibrant and the borders are perfect. I really like "jellyfish". I hope you have these as DPCprints because they would definitely sell.

Painting too. The "Painted Big Apple" is very nice.

Like your shots on pbase. Liked jellyfish but my favorites are the ones that have 3 shots in one frame --head shots, baby partz etc. I think they are excellent. Keep up the good work. BTW - you seem to be very well adapted at doing portraits candid and posed.

thanks Faidoi! That felt nice to hear. I want to put those shots up for prints, some are already available. Will work on it soon!

Thanks sonnyh! I'm getting the hang of a few things!

I really like "Here Comes the Sun"
The soft tones on that shot and the Depth is awesome. Nice display of images. Rooster.

Thanks much Gringo! That shot (Her comes the sun, simplicity challenge) is actually my highest scoring shot here to date. THe way my scores have been going as of late, I doubt I will ever beat it!
