Since the other thread is headed towards 'Rant' any minute now...
Some thoughts on what to enter in this challenge. Discuss?
Brought over from the other thread:
From what I read regarding the challenge description, you can use a song title OR a line of verse.
Challenge description: "A tribute to the king of pop, choose one line or title from a Michael Jackson song and make it come to life in a photograph. The title or lyric will form your title."
Just a thought, you know, to help keep this more of a Free Study. :-P |

I'm stoked that we get to use expert editing. Of course now that I have the opportunity, I have to come up with an idea that I don't think is going to be overdone. Been listening to the XM channel 62 all day. Some of the songs, I don't even remember. Also, Jackson 5 stuff and all of the duets. I think the entries that will do well will be more about him too, not just a photo of a couple with "The Girl is Mine" as the title. Know what I mean?

You think I am? On the other hand if a good tie in with a shoehorn comes to me...
BTW, expert editing simply means you are allowed to do some image editing that is beyond the basic and advanced rules. Stuff that would get you DQ'd from any other challenge for entering a 'shopped image.

WOW Yospiff.. Thanks for posting ALL of those songs... I think anyone can find inspiration somewhere in there..
BTW.. Anybody have the links to the last expert challenges.. I can't remember what those were and it seems like it was sooooo long ago..

Just looking at those editing techniques from former challenges makes me grin. The creativity is wide open, not to mention the ability to do triptychs, diptychs, and any number of images that tie together (or not). FUN FUN. I'm so excited but don't know if I'll be able to come up with any of my ideas without a model.
