Kinda slick. Limited in it's usefulness, but I can see how this could be very useful for certain individuals.

Very interesting..... have you tried it yet? I don't have my camera on hand to do this but am definitely curious...

ETA: Wait, I could've sworn you had a D300?

USED to. Sold it while it would still fetch a price and got me something that may hold value a little longer :P

I'm going to my friend's house later today to give fixing my RROD Xbox 360 one last go and I'll try it on his D300. The video looks legit though!

I agree, and you can see the photos popping up on the LCD as well, and they don't look bracketed like one of the comments said they would be. I'm still skeptical by nature. I won't have my hands on my camera till tonight.
How are you liking the S5? My first "good" digital camera was a Fuji (S9100) which I still have, and I was pretty impressed with its performance, even as a "prosumer" point and shoot. I was strongly considering the S5 before the D300.

The S5 is awesome. Totally insane dynamic range and color. The shots it outputs are really gorgeous.

I just tried this on my friends D300, by the way. It works! The images don't come out bracketed because, obviously, only the flash output is being bracketed. No other settings are changed. Pretty cool!
