I'm kicking myself today. Last night I couldn't decide which photo to enter out of five or six possibilities. After spending several hours editing a few, I really could have used another day to let them sit, but I had to choose one. Then this morning I took a fresher look and realized I much prefer one of the other ones. Why does it seem obvious now? I'll save it for the outtakes thread.
Not making excuses; I'm actually okay with my current score, I just know I could have shown better. Fifty vote check in:

Keeps going down, as I knew it would, but I have a fave! Now if I could predict my high scoring shots as reliably as I can the low ones!

That's where I thought it should be. Mine only shows my submitted photo and it's title and "Construction II", but no results. |

If I were a gambling man, I'd wager that this Construction II challenge is going to have the lowest scoring ribbon-winners in DPC history.

Made it to a 5.0, which is doing reasonably well for a shot I expect to have narrow appeal. I wonder if this will hold?

Climbed back to a tiny bit over 6 -- what a ride this one's had. I've had lots of 7s & 8s, but because of the 3s & 4s, I'm in the 6.0 range. Strange challenge... |

Actually, that may be a sign that I liked it. Remember, I make effort to comment more heavily on the 4's and 5's I leave. If I give it a high vote, I usually figure it is already getting lots of comments, so those are the ones where I hit the number and press on. PM me if you want my feedback on it. Of course, no vote changing will be done once I know.
BTW, I think our entries will end up about where I predicted at the start. |
