Currently I have CS2 on two computers but want to put it on a third. The EULA says you can only have it on two computers and naturally the install on the third isn't activating. I seem to remember a special command to deactivate a version, but can't find that info again. Does anybody know if you have to do something special to deactivate a version or can you just uninstall it?

I found this online:

"I use CS2 on two computers, the limit permitted by the license. The deactivation and activation process is incredibly easy: Just go into any of the CS2 applications and choose Help > Transfer Activation. It takes about 2 seconds. (If you don't have an Internet connection, you can call a free 800 number to transfer activation"

I don't have CS2 at work, so I can't verify.

ETA: I see it in CS3 (Deactivate) but it is grayed out.

Thanks. That sounds exactly like what I saw, but I couldn't find it again. I'll give that a try.

I've used the deactivate successfully a number of times over several versions since PS7. It is usually located under Help->Deactivate
