I think the problem is that people are so attached to the actual score rather than what we use that score for. We vote to help us pick a winner. I may not always agree with what actually wins but I think the general trend of the results is correct. Good shots do better than poor shots.
I I think it would be nice to get rid of those oddball votes of 1 for images that don't deserve it but thats just for appearances really.
