Here are some of the photos from a fabulous holiday I had travelling down through Vietnam. I travelled from Hanoi in the north to saigon in the south. Such a diverse and beautiful country.

Hell of a set of images. "Hanoi Slum" caught my eye strongly, as did the "Kite Surfers" shot, but lawd they're worlds apart :-)

I really enjoyed the Nha Trang images. Spent a part of my youth there, 69-70-71, courtesy of my Uncle. (Sam)

So much seems so unchanged over the last 40 years. I find all the new, fascinating as well. Many memories were awakened.

Very nice set, thanks for posting.

After the conflict in Vietnam ended, I remember the first time I saw it promoted as a tourist destination. I thought it was a joke. Times change!

I've done extensive travel over the years. Countless carousels are filled with slides. As good as some were I always felt they didn't do the experience justice. Your photos are remarkable, thanks for sharing.

I would find it difficult to visit, but at the same time, there is something there that calls to me.

I will most likely never make the journey. But at the same time, I wonder what has become of people I befriended, and places I knew.

I had a wonderful time there. one of the best days was when we travelled on our motorbikes (best way to travel) to a temple at My son near to Hoi An

After 2 hours we got there, had a look around the 7th century temples. we left before the sun went down. And on the way back in the middle of nowhere I got a tire blow out. We were stranded, or so we thought.

A man comes out of nowhere takes us to his Honda garage (hut) and proceedes to fix my bike up for 1 hour. I take photos of his kids. then he just asks for the price of the innertube. I gave him $20 instead.

but that just really showed me how wonderful these people are.
