I was on the Maid of the Mist with my kidling, and it gets pretty wet down there. Once the boat got to the heaviest section right under the Horseshoe Falls, I had my XSi powered off and wrapped up pretty good in the plastic rain slicker they give you (didn't care too much about myself, lol). Once we got out of the maelstrom and headed back for shore, I noticed there was some pretty serious condensation on the bottom corners of my LCD, behind the glass protection. Took it home and layed it on top of some silicon desiccant packets for a few hours, and it seemed to have dried nicely.

However, when I turned on the camera, I can see what looks like blobs and streaks in the lighter areas of the LCD. It's pretty noticeable. I took some test shots of a white wall, and there it's really noticeable, but the image on the card is fine. Did I just jack up my camera? Anyone else had this happen?

Power it back down, take out both the main and date/time batteries, and put it someplace warm & dry for a couple *days*, not hours. Then try it again. A couple hours is probably not near enough if there is condensation inside.

That is a nice addition isn't it. Good luck, I hope she dries out for you.
