Hey,


Is it allowed to use gaussian blur to blur a selection of the image? I'm unsure if the "apply whole image" also include gaussian blur.

"Apply to the whole image" applies to everything. You are not allowed to make any selections within the Basic rules. If you pay to enter the Advanced Rules challenges, then this would be legal.
