Are you excited about the D70? Or is Nikon too little, too late..... again.
I love Nikon and I shoot Nikon at my day job but I can't afford it for my personal photography (That's Why I have an E-10). I was siked to here about the D70. Nikon says spring of 04 I'll bet we're lucky if it hits by early fall.
Does anyone have some insider knowledge on this one? |

Have you take a look at Fuji Finepix S2 Pro?
I could't afford neither but I investigate the Fuji - I am a fan of Fuji's cameras.
I think the Fuji is a bit more expensive (10% top) but perhaps it would be a better value for money |

| march 18 is the relae date for japan... so i assume if they follow teir schedule we might not have to wait that long... |

| In BH (//www.bhphotovideo.com/) they say it will be avalible in march and also in press relase from Nikon (see preview on dpreview.com). I´m excited about it and it seems to have some features beond Canon EOS 300D rebel. I´ve serously been thinking of the rebel but the D70 is also an option |

I love the image quality of the Canon 10D and 300D. I don't like the limitations set in the 300D, I like to be in control. And for that reason the D70 looks very good to me, if the image quality is close to the Canon's.
I don't have previous investments in lenses (I used a fully manual Practika film SLR before). So if I would go DSLR I would have to do the total investment, camera and lenses. So I am not stuck yet with either Canon or Nikon at the moment. I am very confused about the enormous assortment of lenses available and how they compare.
Main point for me is whether I can justify the switch to myself to DSLR, for the type of photography I do.
