Can anyone suggest a good, easy to use editing software. The Canon Picture Style Editor and Microsoft Office Picture Manager aren't cutting it for me. I used tof use CS4 on my buddies computer. So I want something "comparable" with that.

Here's an ongoing and frequently updated thread I started a while back that lists all the free imaging software we run across: Freebie imaging software: the big list

Added: I wasn't quick enough on the draw and the general beat me to the post.

For cheap, but not free, I would suggest my own weapon of choice, Corel PaintShop Pro. You can sometimes find it on sale for $40 or $50. You can get a 30 day free trail and we are going to be doing a PaintShop Pro side challenge next month, if you want to join in.

If CS4 is what you are used to, you might also like Photoshop elements, which usually sells for under $100.

Awesome thanks. I'll try to better my skills in editing and then let you know about the PaintShop Pro side challenge. I'm still very much a beginner.

Actually, a side challenge is not a challenge at all. Side challenges are actually the place to learn something and experiment with editing without worry about getting blasted with low votes and no feedback. If you ask a question in an SC, you will probably find several people jumping in with explanations or helpful links. This shot of mine, for instance, would probably rate a low 4 in any voted challenge, but it was an effort in a side challenge to learn how to recover overexposed highlights. For the intended purpose, it was successful.

Even if you ultimately decide on some other software, many of the techniques apply to other applications as well. (With minor translations)
