Apologies if anyone else has already begun a thread about the new K7, but...

The new Pentax K7 has just hit the streets here in Oz. Reviewed at //www.dpreview.com/previews/pentaxk7/. AU$1,580 body only or AU$1,980 with a Pentax 16-45mm F4 ED AL lens. So, whaddaya reckon - should I lash out and upgrade??

Still pre-order here in the States, but the specs look great... I am anxious to try one out when they get here.

i am going to buy one, but i am not sure when. The current price is too much for me.

It seems finally a good cam from pentax.

Have you guys ever thought that k7 plus pancake might be compact enough carry in pocket.

After picking up my most wanted wish list lens it would be a great time to upgrade. I'll probably end up getting it before then end of the year. If reviews are really good, maybe earlier then that.

Only thing that is holding me back from preordering is the larger files and probably having to upgrade computer to keep up.

what lense do you want most from pentax?

I have 50mm 1.2 and love it a lot. This is one of main reasons to be with pentax for me.
I already have k100D but want more resolution. Lower light though has not been much problems for me so far.

I just picked up the Pentax FA 85mm F1.4 IF AF. It is freaking awesome :)

I've been doing some portraits and recently did a wedding and a 3rd camera would be nice, since my ist* ds died. Currently running 2 k10ds but a third camera would be nice and since the k7 is smaller really really nice.

It'll be interesting to see how the smaller K7 feels in the hand. There seems to be a perception amongst some folks that bigger = pro, so if it feels small and arkward to handle that might not be a popular move.
