how about a few www.rosebuddies.co.uk straps? You may well be on to a winner if you can personalise short runs!

You could make me one with a Blue, Red and Yellow Ribbon (and some velcro ribbons to add as and when lol).

Cool stuff, Tom. I don't see one that's perfect for me yet but I'm following you on Twitter now so I'll keep an eye out.

I'm thinkin the skull and crossbones for your kiddy shoots. Especially if you roll up riding a tricked out chopper wearing leather.

We've had them in Korea now for a few years, and they're really popular... every young man trying to impress his girlfriend has one... good luck.

Here's a link to the shop, might give you some ideas for the future. It's all in Korean so check the picture for where to click. There are hundreds of designs (scroll down).

Do you make any with the loop ends on them and quick release like the Optechs? I recently got one of the CPS Optech straps and love it! I can't get myself to use a standard strap anymore.

I love the idea of putting a company logo on there, or perhaps a little spot with your contact info, god forbid one of us loses our camera.

I also like the idea of having some with humorous slogans on them. I also second the idea of having a version with quick release buckles. I have one like that and it is very convenient to be able to remove the strap when I have the camera on a tripod.

I didn't see anything right now that screamed out for me to buy it, but I will keep checking back as you add designs.

Aren't people scared of quick release buckles though? One falter with that plastic piece, and your camera is done for. Or a bump on a chair or something to release the buckle, and boom! The less parts connecting your camera to your strap, the better... right?

No?

I have an Optech strap and it is brilliant. My only criticism would be the loops. When the camera is on the tripod I usually take off the neckstrap but even without that the looped ends still get in the way. They could do with being MUCH shorter.

How does everyone else manage their straps when using a tripod?

I have a Tamrac strap with QR buckles and it is quite secure. The way the QR mechanism is designed I don't think there is any way I could release it by accident.

When I'm going to be using a tripod I just take mine off all together. The reason I love the looped ones is I take my strap on and off more then most anyone would. I shoot with my 300 quite often and it has its own strap, I don't need two straps so it comes off. I hate having to feed on and off those regular straps, the loop is on and off in less then a minute.
