Just ordered myself a 17-40mm L, can't wait to get it, I'm in the process of making the jump to full frame with the 5d, and I found a good deal on the lens so decided to start there.

Should be gettin it in the next day or two, just had to share.

Congrats! Fantastic lens, I use mine very frequently. You will love the natural vignette with this lens and the 5D at the wide end.

does the camera do the vignette for is it the lens? my 70-200 seems to have a vignette to it, but i like it so its ok

It's the full frame; however, the extent of the vignette is a function of the lens as well. My 17-40 vignettes more than my 24-70.

Lol, no problem, I didn't really have a point of the thread other than to share my excitement.
