Doing the yard sale thing here in St. George. Came across these fully working tripod lamp stands( the legs are collapsible and it folds like a real tripod) The wood is oak and the metal parts look like pewter. The tallest one is about 5 feet tall and the smaller one at half that. And the price , well lets just say I would have paid more..

I can admire someone who is as big a cheapskate as myself. I found a nice set of "barn doors" at my local camera shop today for only $15. No real photo lighting to put them on. They should fit the hardware store clamp lights I do have, though. They also had a spare battery for my rebel for only $5, but I already have 4, so I passed on that.

| Now that you posted a photo, I recognize the design. I have a very similar wood lamp. I bought it at Target a while back. Mine is just a small table lamp, and I probably didn't get the steal of a deal you did. |

I doubt they where converted, but for $10 they look good in my corner of the living room. |
