Hey all you guys... why dont the community start some campaign to get all the 1130 approvals necessary to put that collage available on print, and, then, why dont every photographer who has one of those pictures buy one print?
I think that SDW did a really great job, and that everyone who has his/her picture there would enjoy to have a copy!
Obviously, everybody should give the copyrights to SDW (but only regarding to each picture as a part of the collage, because the collage is a new creation/compilation). I dunno the all the Law regarding this... but considering that copyrights are a private issue, this is probably possible worldwide...
Why not? |

The funky part is that legally, DPC does *not* need our permission to publish it... we already gave that permission when we entered. Look at section 6.2 of the terms of service. DPC is *very* conservative in how it exercises these terms, but it does have the right to re-publish to market DPC, which is essentially what this consists of. |

I agree, and believe our all powerful Leader Langdon should suuport this.....
Way forward in my opinion
A post in site news (left hand side), preferably bright, that states the intention to publish, and if you don't want your photo included, you must opt out (ie, if you don't respond, then its in)
This will also appear in the weekly mail out for those that get it.
Hence, if you are not on the site within the month, then its your fault, you had the option........
Lets get this off the ground |

I believe Langdon is already working on a solution to this ... he has been in communication with Scott. |

My english is quite weak... but I´m not sure that DPC has the commercial rights... I saw some "publishing" "broadcasting" etc... but not "selling". Maybe the DPC prints terms of use has it... will check there later...
The opt in/out is interesting... but no one has the duty to enter the site... sending some e-mail to the users may be better... I dont konw the feedback rates for the e-mails... considering 1% of problems, there will be 12 issues... considering 10%... there will be 113...
But if they are working on this yet, I´m sure they will find a solution!
I´m glad to see that the discussion started... because if this turns into a big issue in the community, this will certanily be solved!
