Here's some candid shots I took recently on a business trip/holiday. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

What wonders a nice long lens can capture.I like the ones where the couples are interacting together. You can really feel the love.

I don't have a Canon but I think others may want to know what type of lens/settings you used.

Thanks. I must admit it was more perseverance and camera than anything else.

I used my Canon 75-300/4-5.6 mk 1, mostly at 300mm. Sadly, without IS. The pics are almost all cropped to get a squarer/tighter frame.

I purposefully chose a position where the sun was pretty much behind me, and the unknowing 'models' were walking across in front of me (at some distance. :-) ). It was very bright on that day, so I used -1/3 and -2/3 Ev for most of the shots. I was getting 1/320-1/1000 shutters, but still had a few come out blurry. I was using ISO 100; I guess maybe I could have used 200 or 400 to get a sharper shot..

Thanks guys.

As I mentioned (I guess while you were posting), I was using the Canon 75-300.

Oh yeah... we posted at the same time :-)

I love my 75-300 lens... what a great buy that is.

I rented a Canon 400mm 5.6 lens this weekend and used it the whole time without a tripod or monopod. LOVE that lens and found it easy to use without the support. Granted with would have been better.

Excellent shots... :-)
