I did this one for National Geo challenge but decided not to enter it in the end. I like the web but the spider was not crisp, mostly because there was a breeze and the huge web was swaying too much to get a longish exposure.
Comments please. Also, which version is the better. The green tinge one is the more natural one, though it does not look it maybe, the other one has the colour desaturated from all but the spider.

This was mine - it's a bit oversharp cuz I was trying to make the deadline but didn't. :S

I enjoyed looking at the silver stringed one, a more industrial color for one of natures most industrious creatures.

Simon, i like the color shot, and I really don't think that any unsharpness in the spider shows at this resolution; I'd have entered it!

| I like the silver one a bit better. Composition is really nice with the web bring your eyes toward the middle where the spider is located. The spider seems too come out of the picture a bit more. |
