Just saw you edit with Elements6, try a first resize at 1440 on the longest side, sharpen twice, then resize at 720, if not enough go back and add 1 more sharpen at 1440. It works..

Someone up there is fed up with too many good things happening to you?
Take your old camera to the crap track shoot as well, if you still have it.

Sorry, I'm not that up on all the brands ... lately I've been getting Western Digital, in the past mostly Seagate, Maxstor and LaCie. I think I've had drive failures for all brands, and good results too. Keeping them cool really can make a difference in preventing catastrophic failures.

Buying the least expensive is not always the way to go ... the difference is usually only $20-30. I'd recommend going to the library (local or online) and see if any of the computer magazines or Consumer Reports has a recent evaluation.

You either need to load the software that came with the camera, or upgrade whatever software you are using now. Visit the website for whatever software you are using now to see if it handles the RAW images from the new 5D. If I recall, Photoshop CS3 will NOT handle the RAW files from the 5D Mark II - you need CS4.

Heh, Katherine. :-) Glad you got it to work! Have fun shooting! (I'm quite envious. I keep considering the 5D but I'm still pretty happy with my outdated, discontinued 30D for now.

And if any of you missed it, I've been posting Amsterdam pics in another thread: which would be here. Hopefully canals will go up later today my time. I do have to go shower and check batteries (though preferably not at the same time) as I've been invited to a 5 year old's birthday party. Her mom thinks I should take pictures.

It's Maxtor.....no "s"......8>)

Maxtor & Western Digital seem to be quite reliable. I've been very happy with my 500GB Maxtor. I guess I've had it a year and a half or so....
