I just received a request for validation which I take as a compliment on the technical merits of the image. See how that comes out- should be fine.

Not doing so well, but I got a favorite! That always makes it worth it! I don't care much about the score anymore - at least someone liked my shot enough to favorite it!

Well, after a long nap this afternoon and an excellant dinner prepared by Mrs. Teafran, I managed to eek it out. :>)

Lot's of really good images in this challenge - some are quite impressive and frankly, I'm jealous. :>)
Edit: I can't do the initial speed vote on reviewing the images, then returning to the commentary - it just doens't work for me as I always almost always end up rescoring the image higher - sometimes significantly higher. I rethought the process and I'm going to return to the rate and comment technique at the same time - it works better for me.

I received an excellent comment from Teafran- it was both detailed and accurate- pointing out what he liked and did not like in the shot. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that. Such comments are much more useful for learning than just a "cool shot" or "looks a bit out of focus" comment.

So far I am up slightly from when I received my request for verification which is still pending. Curious how that works- do they take the original and attempt to recreate the final image based on the steps you list or is it a "look at and see if that is possible from this original" sort of thing? I would guess that on some you could easily tell just from comparing the unedited with the edited version.
I have not had time to vote yet but intend to get started tonight. Just got home from work.

Its actually better than I expected since most of the pics I think are nice seem to bomb or just remain at about 6.0.
This is my advanced editing swansong on DPC and maybe it will turn out rather nicely :) |

Well, one commenter ripped me to shreds, but somebody favorited me on my entry. Thanks to the people who left nice comments or added my image to their favorites. Restores my faith in the ability of art to appeal to some even if not to all.

Ooooh.. Nice score Tez. My scores have been going off the cliff... steadily down since the beginning. I was hoping for a PB on this one, but it looks like I'm going to fall short. I have gotten some nice comments, (and one very strange comment) which I appreciate. Good luck for a strong finish! |

Yup. Someone went through across the board and slashed points... I inched up for 5 days only to revert in a single vote... it was a pure 1.
It is OK , as long as everyone else got it though... everything is relative, as Albert would say. |

Still sitting around a 5.7. It was a 5.6 something last night for a while.
How long does a validation take? I sent mine in five days ago and it is still pending. I guess the admins are busy these days.
Not going to challenge you guys for any of the ribbons- your scores look nice!
